About Us

Newt Mission was started to honor the late Dr. Renee Schwandt.  An OB/GYN at Essentia Health, Dr. Renee passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 38.  Although she left the earthly state way too early, she was able to leave a legacy to those that she worked with, doctored, and to all of her friends and family.  An athlete herself, Dr. Renee as focused on promoting a healthy lifestyle while giving back to those in need.  Newt Mission is a way to carry on her legacy - by giving back to the passions that Dr. Renee had.
